Resident Evil

The original Resident Evil makes a gruesome return. Even though this is a remake of the Playstation version, the graphics have been improved by leaps and bounds and there are new things that weren't in the original. Additions gameplay-wise are the lethal Crimson Head zombies and the switched around rooms and puzzles plus a few new ones. The gameplay is typical Resident Evil; find the key/crest to unlock the door to find more flesh-eating zombies. It is carried out very well. Some of the puzzles will have you scratching your head for a while. The controls are the same annoying controls. Up is always forward. The graphics are very impressive. The dramatic camera angles and lightening leave you feeling uneasy. The zombies are beautifully realized in every single disgusting detail. The sounds will also send a chill down your spine except for the moan and groan of the zombies which sounds awkward. Resident Evil is two-discs so it wouldn't be a short journey however if you have played the original then some of the puzzles will be familiar. If you like survival-horror games then Resident Evil will not disappoint.
