COMMENTS

I found Nightfire to be disappointing. EA has yet to make a Bond game that gives the freedom and Bond atmosphere that Goldeneye did way back in the early days of the N64. Nightfire isn't a bad game though. The graphics are excellent. There is alot of detail in both the enviroment and the characters. Pierce Brosnan lends his likeness to Nightfire. Bond looks exactly like Brosnan. However Bond doesn't use Pierce's voice which takes a little from the experience. The overall sound side of the game is bad at all. The title theme is catchy and fits well. The gun sound effects are almost realistic. There aren't as many cool sound effects as there were in Agent Under Fire. The gameplay is almost excellent. Some boring levels take a few points from the score. The animations are excellent. There are numerous routes in most levels which is a nice touch. Nightfire plays almost like a typical Bond movie. The opening credits really give Nightfire that Bond feeling. Several missions are very similar to the most recent Bond movie "Die Another Day". Bond's second outing on the Cube isn't a very long one. However if you want to complete Nightfire 100% and unlock everything it will take a while. The multiplayer is good mostly. The low part is the lack of good arenas. There are several characters to choose from including favorites from previous Bond movies. The thing that lets this down is that only one person can be a good guy while the others have to a bad guy. All the weapons from the single-player adventure are in the multiplayer. The Sentinel is great because of the guided missile aspect. Overall Nightfire is great package for any Bond fan. I recommend to any first-person shooter fans aswell but rent it first.
