I got my Gamecube on November 18th 2001. I went to my local Super Target that morning at about 7:45 am. While I was waiting for it to open, I was given a number and a Gamecube discount pamplet. Finally at 8:00 am, the doors were opened. Once I got inside I quickly grabbed copies of Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2: Rogue Leader and Luigi's Mansion. I also got my hands on a indigo/clear controller and two memory cards. After a few minutes of waiting in line, I finally recieved my jet black Gamecube plus a free Gamecube camping stool. Immediately upon arriving home I opened the Gamecube box and pulled out the incredibly tiny Gamecube. After getting over the shock I plugged it into my TV, took out Rogue Leader, put it in, turned it on, and was pleasantly greeted by the Gamecube logo. I was then asked to put in the correct time and date which I did. Once I got past all the technicalities, the familiar Star Wars music began playing. After being awestruck by the graphics and sounds, I began beating the crap out of those TIEs. Let me tell you, this game really demonstrates the graphical and audio capabilities of the Gamecube. After having played that for a while I put in Luigi's Mansion. Who you gonna call? LU-I-GI!! Anyway this game has brillant textures and all those transparency effects are unsurpassed. That was basically my day. Oh yeah, the controller. What can you say about the controller except that it's brillant and so comfortable. It almost dissolves into your hand. That's all folks. I hope you enjoy my site dedicated to the best videogame console ever created.
